Howdy MTN Guys,

Yes, my name is still Patrick and I'm still a race-aholic. Recent "incidents" include a couple local bike races, running races, and the duathlon elite world championships in Cali, Colombia. The Cali trip was incredible - representing USA at the World Games with thousands of fans everywhere, meeting top athletes of bizarre sports from around the world, eating fresh papaya, and practicing my Spanish. The race itself was not my... best. It was 10k run, 40k draft-legal bike, 5k run. The first run felt more taxing than it should have; apparently heat + altitude + world class competition will do that. I rode reasonably well and entered T2 in the planned position, but getting there took diplomacy and most of my reserves. On the second run, I blew up in spectacular fashion and barely made it to the finish. World conquest wasn't in the cards this time, but playing real-life Risk was a blast. I highly recommend it.
