USAT AGE GROUP NATIONALS - Minnesotans totally rocked in Milwaukee this weekend. The list of Team USA invitees from our beloved state is a long one. In the most competitive AG triathlon in the world--Saturday's Olympic Distance Nationals--seven Minnesotans collected medals (1 gold, 5 silvers and a bronze). In the Sprint National Championships on Sunday, six of our own climbed the podium (2 gold, 3 silvers, 1 bronze).

NORTHWOODS TRIATHLON - This 13-year-old sprint was won for the 11th time by BROOKS GROSSINGER. His co-champion was 2014 Junior of the Year runner-up LAUREN STEINKE, who placed 2nd here in 2014. Lauren, 15, was 2:13 faster this year than last, and managed to place 4th overall. RESULTS

GRANITEMAN BIG LAKE - The 6th annual Sprint edition of this great event was won by 2014 Lakes Country Champ THOMAS ANDERSON III and JENNIFER FITZHARRIS FUNK. An Olympic-distance tri was added to the format. That race was won by CASEY MILLER, a former Rookie of the Year nominee who has won three races in 2015, and likely 2015 Rookie of the Year nominee KRISANA HOFF. SPRINT RESULTS - OLYMPIC RESULTS

TURTLEMAN - DEVON PALMER picked up his 4th win in five starts on Saturday at the resurrected Turtleman Triathlon.The victory was the 18th of his career. KORTNEY HAAG led the way for the women, winning by an 8:09 margin.  RESULTS

GREEN LAKE TRIATHLON - The 12 edition of the GL Sprint was won decisively by 28-year-old WADE CRUSER. It was the Sauk Rapid's resident first career tri victory and it came on the heels of a 3rd place finish the previous day at Big Lake Olympic. Cruser's co-champ in Spicer was the ever-bubbly JEN NEUMAN. Two of Neuman's seven career victories have been recorded this season.

The GL-International race, now in its 9th year, was won by pre-race favorites MIKE WARD and SHEENA DAUER. Both of these athletes will be considered for Most Improved nominations at the end of the season. Dauer's time was a course record and landed her in 3rd place overall.
