Even More Peopley Stuff...

NEWSINESS & NOTESINESS - Joanna Hall is in a unique position. Since her recent relocation to Iowa City, she had raced at Pigman Sprint, which was (and has been for seven years) Iowa's qualifying event for the Best of the US Championship, which will be staged in Gulf Shores, Alabama next September.

Joanna now has a decision to make. Her residency status can be adjusted and she can accept her Iowa berth, or she can not request a change and attempt to qualify for Team Minnesota next Sunday at Lake Waconia.

Joanna is at the top of her game right now, having won three of the four multis she's raced in thus far this season, and would be a super addition to either state team.

* And speaking of RochesterFest, like the Lake Minnetonka Tri the day before, it was a tremendous event, wonderfully produced and executed. Ross and Tina Rogney (LMT) and Mark Bongers and his Final Stretch crew are to be congratulated for their superlative work.

The divisional records that were set at Lake Minnetonka were posted last Saturday (LINK). Here are the new marks that were set at RochesterFest. Note that the course distances remained the same but the routes themselves were altered. Ostensibly, a new course was utilized, thus every record was rewritten. Here we are listing the Race Records, i.e. the fastest times regardless of which of the Olympic or sprint courses were used. Additionally, we are listing only the non-open-class (excluding divisions within the age 20-39 range) records as those marks are typically held by past winners or Elite Division athletes.
