Rooting For Dani....

Dani_triumph.png2015 Minnesota Rookie of the Year DANI VSETECKA (pronounced "Sheh-teska"--it's an Eastern European deal) will be racing, along with more than 3000 others, including 94 pros, at the 7th annual Ironman Miami 70.3 on Sunday.

Dani excels at 70.3 and will be a podium favorite in the amateur women's race. Check out her half IM resume:

- 1st @ 2015 Door Country Half - 4:46:29

- 1st amateur @ 2015 Pigman Half - 4:41:34

- 2nd amateur @ 2016 ronman Texas 70.3 4:34:56

Our research revealed that no American woman has yet broken 4:40 at Miami, though one Perevian athlete --Elise Portugal (4:38:09 in 2015)--and Mexico's Alina Hanuschke Busch have done so. The talented Ms. Hanschke Busch has actually cracked 4:40 twice in South Florida. Her amateur CR is 4:36:34. (Her PR is 4:26:01 in a winning effort at Monterrey 70.3 in 2015.)...

Weather permitting, we believe that Vsetecka has a legitimate shot at breaking the women's amateur record. And if she does, or comes close, her performance could have a major impact on the 2016 Minnesota Multisport Awards. A great performance would not only affect her placement on Team Minnesota, but could result in POY and TOY nominations. She is already nominated in the Most Improved category.

The MTN Guys will be following the 70.3 action online this weekend.
