Our last post talked about some of MInnesota's talented male triathletes who have only two outstanding performances on their 2025 resume. Should they be eligible for post-season honors? Or would that be unfair to those who raced more often? We're still trying to figure that out.
Here are some of our state's best female triathletes who have only raced twice thus far this season:
HELEN GUNTHER, 68 (photo - with "Mongoose Man" Dwight Larson at Big Lake) - Age Group wins at Buffalo Sprint and Hopkins, where she set an AG record.
DIANE HANKEE, 47 - 1st at Chisago Sprint. 1st at Timberman Sprint (AGR). The Fall Cllassic Du is in Diane's backyard. Will she race?
HEATHER LENDWAY, 41 - 1st at Timberman Olympic. 6th / 1st AG at Milwaukee Nationals. An ankle injury prevents HL from adding another race this season.
BETTINA KEPPERS, 41 - 2nd at Buzz Ryan. 2nd at Timberman Sprint....
CHANTAL NACK, 28 - 1st at Hopkins. 10th at USAT Multisport Fest Sprint (NE).
BETTE ROWLEY, 39 - 3rd at Buffalo Sprint. 8th at Door Country Sprint.
PAIGE SCHULZ, 36 - 1st at Ironman 70.3 Madison. 2nd at Ironman 70.3 Boise. Paige plans to race at Chattanooga this weekend.
KADIE STEINBRING, 44 - CR at Alexandria. 1st at Young Life Olympic.
