Duluth, MN, January 7, 2014— Duluth Running Co. has teamed up with former Olympian Adam Goucher and Tim Catalano of Run the Edge to bring their unique “Level Up” training plans to DRC’s Spring Training Group in preparation for Grandma’s Marathon events.

From Running Magazine: “This past July, former Olympian Adam Goucher and his long-time friend Tim Catalano launched their Run the Edge Level-Up system, a set of training plans conceived as a substitute for the week-to-week spreadsheet plans ubiquitous in the running world.”

Says group head coach, Tony Stensland, “We are very excited to pilot the Run the Edge Level-Up training system and incorporate it into our highly social and fun training approach.”

The Duluth Running Co. Spring Training Group is designed to prepare runners of all abilities for Grandma’s Marathon and the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon.  The first group run heads out today (January 7th) at...

As I mentioned in my last post, I needed some time to reflect and evaluate what activities and goals to set for 2014 that will acknowledge that my knees are going to prevent me from doing what my mind wants them to do.  Growing old gracefully is not in my makeup as it probably is not in yours either. While the recommended treatments for rheumatoid arthritis is to lose weight and exercise, I already meet those recommendations.  Unfortunately running is not included in their recommend exercises....
